CA Final Law Amendments May 18
So ICAI recently has changed the syllabus of CA Final law, i.e Paper 4: Corporate and Allied Laws for May 18 and onwards. Now the new act Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 will be asked for 10 Marks
Previously Allied Laws and company laws were asked for 100 marks but now their weight-age is kept 90 marks. The extract of ICAI Notification is here below:

|Sub: Applicability of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 in the Paper 4: Corporate and Allied Laws for November 2017, Examinations
The Council has approved the inclusion of “Overview of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016” for 10 Marks for November 2017 examinations and onwards.
With the addition of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, marks allocation will be as under:
For the benefit of our students, the Board of Studies will be releasing a reading material on the aforementioned Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 which will be hosted on the website by the end of this month.
Separate mails and SMS will be sent to the students when the material will be uploaded.
So as per the notification latest study material will also be provided by ICAI Very soon regarding these CA Final law amendments. So the students will get the fair idea about what is expected from them in Exams. And as written in the notification only overview about Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 will be asked. The reason of these CA Final law amendments is basically to aware students about new opportunities for Chartered Accountants in this field. ICAI has already setup a committee for Insolvency and Bankruptcy and issued eligibility of Chartered Accountants who can practice in this field.
